Our staff at SilverJax includes some of the most innovative and creative coaches and choreographers!
Fun fact: Our staff are unique and effective because they were all once athletes in our program or a former College Cheerleader. Each staff member attributes some of their best years and defining life moments to SilverJax and, in turn, seeks to give that back to the athletes in their care.
You can also take comfort in knowing that each member of our all star staff is certified by the U.S.A.S.F. (Cheerleading's governing body) in levels 1 thru 5.
Debbie Jackson
Owner

Coach Debbie is the Heart and Soul of Silverjax Cheer and Tumble. You will feel Ms. Debbie's Love every time you come into the gym. Her dedication to every child, parent and staff member is second to none. Jenifer Gooding

Coach Jenifer is co-owner of SilverJax and actively coached for 10+ years. Jenifer cheered for the University of South Carolina before she transitioned into coaching. ​

Coach Chris -AKA House- cheered for North Carolina State University, where he was the captain for three years. Coach Chris graduated from NC State and moved to the Univeristy of South Carolina where he was a cheerleader for 2 years while earning a graduate degree. He is currently the assistant coach at the University of South Carolina. He is also a former NCA Head Instructor, and Collegiate Instructor who has taught camps across the US, Europe, and Japan.

Coach Matt is well-known in the cheerleading industry. He previously owned his own allstar gym and currently works with many high school teams across South Carolina. Coach Matt is a choreographer, competition emcee, and allstar competition judge. He has worked countless competitions and clinics over the past 20 years. ​

Coach Alex has been in the cheerleading/gymnastics industry for 35+ years. He coached men's and women's gymnastics for 10 years while also working for the Universal Cheerleaders Association during the summers. He cheered and coached at Winthrop University and was later the head coach at Coker University. Coach Alex has coached at many gyms across the state and has also owned his own gym, so he is well-versed in all things cheerleading and continues to share his knowledge with our youth!

Coach Rutland cheered for the University of South Carolina where he was the captain. While a cheerleader, he and his stunt partner Lauren represented USC at the UCA Partner Stunt National Championships in Orlando, Florida. He is currently a teacher, as well as an Assistant Coach at Airport High School.

Austin Weathersby

Austin was a cheerleader at the University of South Carolina where he was the captain for three years. He won multiple competitions, including a National Championship during his time competing on an IOC5 Open Coed team. Previously, Austin was also an instructor with UCA instructor camp instructor.

Coach Cydney was an allstar cheerleader for 15+ years starting and ending here at SilverJax, along with cheering competitively at Airport High School. She has competed at competitions across the Southeast, placing highly in many, and has coached at them for 5 years. Coach Cydney recently graduated from the College of Charleston and has returned to work with kids in our area to develop their cheerleading skills and create lifelong impacts on them.

MK Dickerson
Coach Madison cheered for 10+ years here at SilverJax and on the competitive team at Airport High School. Coach Madison has won many championships with our teams here at SilverJax, along with ranking highly at competitions as a coach. She is currently at the University of South Carolina and loves to work at SilverJax at night as a way to share her cheerleading knowledge and give back to her community.

Coach MK competitively cheered for 7 years here at SilverJax and on the competitive team at Brookland Cayce High School. She was a gymnast for 10 years before stepping into the cheerleading world. Coach MK currently attends Clemson University and is on their club cheerleading team. She has coached at SilverJax for 3 years and loves coming back during her school breaks to share her passion with athletes on the allstar teams and in tumbling classes.
